Standardized Testing

Every now and then I like to check out my equipment when I don't "have" to get a shot. I live right next to a high school, which affords me some great opportunities. Lacrosse is great, as the action is very fast, so it's a good challenge for me as well as the equipment. Five different cameras came with me.

Life changes, and this year I haven't been doing as many MLB games as in the past. D III College and High School games have kept me on the diamond, however. The ball is still white with red stitching, and the batter gets three strikes and your out!

A little softball (finally.) Bad weather had done a real number on the JCU season. This was a double-header that was able to be rescheduled.

Missed it by that much!

Probably 1 /100 of a second earlier and the ball is in the frame, not his glove. The photos when he rolled over were nice, though.

Rain Delay

Football plays through almost any weather. But airplanes flying football players can get delayed by weather. Such was the case today. Browns #1 draft pick Phil Taylor was originally scheduled to be in Cleveland for a 2:30 p.m. press conference. Airline delays eventually changed that to 5:15 p.m., which left no time to do the portrait for which I had set up lights. I did get a nice photo of Browns equipment assistant Jim McLaughlin as my test subject!

One of Those Days

Sometimes at a baseball game you seem to get lots of good shots of one player. This was one of those days, and Asdrubal Cabrera was the player.
